MONAT Launches “More Than a Gift” Set to Benefit Veterans & First Responders in US, Canada, & UK

By Truth About MONAT on June 15th, 2019

For Memorial Day, MONAT launched a limited edition “More Than a Gift”, where one hundred percent of net profits benefit organizations that assist veterans and first responders in the US, Canada and the UK. The initiative launched on Tuesday, May 28th and will be available until supplies last. All proceeds from MONAT’s “More Than a Gift” collection will benefit the “Wounded Warriors Project”, the “22 Project”, and “Wounded Warriors Canada”.

The Wounded Warriors Project focuses on veterans and service members who served in the military on or after September 11, 2001.  The Wounded Warrior Project helps injured service men and women by honoring and empowering those who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound during their military service. Focusing on mental and physical wellness as well as personal independence, The Wounded Warriors Project helps veterans build themselves a future outside of the military.

The 22 Project supports underserved war veterans who have traumatic brain injuries and are at risk for depression and/or suicide. The name for the 22 Project comes from the 2012 report that determined that 22 veterans commit suicide everyday in the United States.  The 22 Project recognizes that not everyone who comes home from war is only scarred physically. Depression and post traumatic stress disorder are major issues that need to be helped as well.

Wounded Warriors Canada’s mission is to honor and support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, first responders and their families by creating an innovative approach to mental health care using clinical best practices and evidence-based care. Wounded Warriors Canada was started in September of 2006 following the deaths of four Canadian soldiers at the hands of a suicide bomber outside of Kandahar City.

The “More Than a Gift” set includes three of MONAT’s returning favorite products and one new product, all infused with REJUVENIQE™ Oil Intensive for extra hydration all contained within a waterproof travel bag.  The four products are: More than a Mist, More than a Hand Cream, More than a Whip, and More than a Lather, MONAT’s new lightly scented soap bar.

“A core value at MONAT is “MONAT Gratitude”, a philosophy that is engrained in everything they do. We hope this is our biggest promotion yet. We want to make a huge impact on deserving non-profit organizations that help our veterans and first responders. We are honored and humbled to give back to those who have given so much for our countries.”

-Stuart MacMillan, President of MONAT Global.

In addition to initiatives like the “More Than a Gift” campaign, MONAT also adheres to strict standards for its hair care products. All the company’s products are free from harmful colors and fragrances, phthalates and parabens, and they are all are dermatologist tested, cruelty-free, vegan, and Leaping Bunny Certified.

“We’re grateful that we have the opportunity to help the men and women who served in the military and as first responders. I hope that MONAT inspires others to live in gratitude and give back in their communities.”
