This includes a mandate that all manufacturing equipment must be completely broken down and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between different batches of product. This ensures that there is no cross-contamination of potential allergens. It is a requirement of the FDA that manufacturers disclose this information on the label to their customers for legal and transparency purposes.

A: In the USA there is no federal regulations of supplements. Therefore, there is no specific Food and Drug Administration approval when it comes to dietary supplements and vitamins. While there is no FDA process for the approval of dietary supplements in the United States, it is up to supplement manufacturers to self-regulate, based on strict published guidelines by the FDA and FTC (Federal Trade Commission).
Supplement manufacturers are responsible for ensuring that their dietary products are safe and MONAT takes pride in ensuring that we provide the highest quality of products to our customers.
Q: WHY IS MONAT WELLNESS NOT APPROVED BY THE FDA?
A: The FDA does not review dietary supplement products for safety and effectiveness before they are marketed. The manufacturers and distributors of dietary supplements are responsible for making sure their products are safe BEFORE they go to market. If the dietary supplement contains a New Dietary Ingredient (NDI), manufacturers must notify the FDA of the NDI prior to marketing a product containing the NDI. The dye used in MONAT Balance is of the highest safety standards we have in the US and not dissimilar from that found in the day-to-day products you consume. There are very specific colors that are deemed safe by the FDA; nine of them to be exact, and we use only three of these. It is most unlikely that anyone would go through a day without ingesting at least one of these dyes in something they eat. It is, in fact, a benign ingredient, and occurs in such a small amount that it is negligible, and appears last on the MONAT Balance ingredient list.

A: Maltodextrin is an organic, non-GMO ingredient derived from corn, commonly used as a flow agent in products to avoid clumping. In current scientific and medical literature, there is no evidence of allergic reactions among those who have allergen sensitivities. Maltodextrin should not be confused with high fructose corn syrup. It does have a higher Glycemic Index than most of the vegetable complex carbs. Total Greens is keto friendly with 4 grams of carbohydrates.
